We are often asked what all these designations mean to the consumer looking for an agent. I will attempt to explain each and the benifits to you.

What's a CRS

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest Designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS Designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.

Since 1977 the Council of Residential Specialists has been conferring the CRS Designation on agents who meet its stringent requirements. Currently, there are more than 34,000 active CRS Designees.

    Seniors Real Estate Specialist. REALTORS® with the “SRES” designation help seniors make wise decisions about selling the family home, buying rental property or managing the capital gains and tax implications of owning real estate. By earning the “SRES” designation, the REALTORS® has demonstrated that they have the requisite knowledge, experience and expertise to be a senior’s real estate specialist and counselor.

     The Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®, to real estate practitioners who meet the specified educational and practical experience criteria.

     This program focuses on developing the knowledge and skill base that real estate professionals need to specialize in buying, selling, or managing second homes in a resort, recreational, and/or vacation destination and properties for investment, development, or retirement. In order to achieve the RSPS Certification, REALTORSÒ  are required to take core courses. They must also complete other electives or hold the ABRÒ, CIPS, CPMÒ  or CRS designations as well as a firm understanding of 1031 exchange rules.

    The eCertified® designation is awarded to Sales Associates who meet extensive criteria and who complete the eCertified® training. The training and certification process is designed to identify, certify and deliver real estate professionals who possess the technological and business skills necessary to service the emerging market needs of the online consumer.
