Anderson Home Pros Real Estate home buyers services are here to help you understand the process of finding and buying a home and to acquaint you with financial choices available and to assist you throughout the purchasing process. In order for an agent to best serve you, they will need to spend time with you, learning more about your needs, wants, desires and what your dreams are, for what will be one of the most important decisions in your life.

  • All properties listed by other brokers through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
  • Properties not necessarily on the open market yet but known by us or our affiliates

When you work with an Anderson Home Pros Real Estate agent or broker you can expect that they will:

  • Work with you every step of the process, from the first selection of properties to view, through the submitting of an offer, to arranging financing, inspection, escrow and the completion of the transaction.
  • Have an open line of communication so that you will be informed of new properties or prices at all times.
  • Provide you with information and sound advice so that you can make informed decisions.
  • Set you up with a client portal into the MLS so you will know the moment a new home hits the market (often time is of the essence)
  • Have an extensive knowledge of the neighborhoods and communities that make up the Central Coast

Home finding

The home search is a highly personalized process, and it all begins by identifying your needs and desires. As you think about finding a home, think about the following:

  • How big of a house will you feel comfortable in? 1200 sq ft? 1800 sq ft? 4000 sq ft? Each family is different and requires different space
  • How many bedrooms and bathrooms?
  • How big of yards do I want (or can I take care of)?
  • Do you have pet considerations? Counties often require 1 acre per horse.
  • Like older homes or newer homes?
  • How about eating at a counter or dining room?
  • Do you want to be in a specific school district?
  • How close do you want to be to stores, shopping or medical facilities?
  • Is a neighborhood going to match your needs and lifestyle choices?
  • Do you need sports facilities near you soccer, baseball etc?
  • Are you a DIYer or do you want a move-in ready home?

I normally suggest that my clients make two lists-One is a must have and the other a want list.Taking the time to sit down at the beginning and having a clear idea of which is which will make the home buying enjoyable.

This Is Important!

  • Make sure the loan process is already underway and the price point has been set based on your financial ability. This is of paramount importance! Any agent can show you homes way above your financial means.Understanding your finances and payments and balancing your needs, wants and desires is sometimes the hardest part of the home search process.
  • How the home search will need to be tailored to fit you and your family’s plans and timing. How soon do you need to move and how specific are your needs?
  • Setting aside the significant time to spend with your agent and making the commitments to your family, friends and work. You may be lucky and find a home right away or it may take weeks or months.
  • You may submit offers on multiple homes (one at a time we can discuss this further) and have them turned down before you have an accepted offer. It takes an emotional toll when you don’t get an offer accepted but you can’t let that derail your efforts. Staying the course and being focused is important to the process.
  • Communication, if you are not comfortable with your agent and don’t wish to spend time with him or her, you don’t have the right agent! You MUST talk openly and freely with your agent about everything. Any changes in your life or needs are important. Express your likes or dislikes about every home you see. This will assist your agent in choosing homes to show you. We would like to be mind-readers but since we are not, your input is critical.
